Andreas Alexander Mina

I have just completed my Sound and Music Technology degree at Portsmouth University. I hope to go on to do a PGCE in Music and teach Music in Secondary schools. I would also like to teach electric bass guitar to students in my spare time. I applied for, and am currently in a placement at Portsmouth City Girls School where I am gaining experience and insight into my chosen career. I will be completing this placement and will place a record of my experience on this website.

Bass Playing Band Accomplishments

I have played in many bands but put this hobby on hold when i came to university to concentrate more on my work. In 2004 I was in a stadium rock band called Cold Fury. We came second in the Emergenza battle of the unsigned bands competition for the whole of the UK and also won the award for best dynamic performance. The finals were held in the Mean Fiddler on Tottenham Court Road in London.

I also joined Harrow Young Musicians in 2005 through talking to various staff at college. I got to play in a performance at the Royal Albert Hall that year and was very awed I got to play at this prestigious venue.
